Committed to supporting industrial and systems engineering professionals, IISE provides its members with various career development, research, educational, and training opportunities. An example of the latter two is the IISE Training Center.
An International Academy of Science, Engineering, and Technology (IASET) authorized provider, the IISE Training Center is authorized to issue internationally-recognized IASET continuing education units (CEUs). Prospective learners can choose from three forms of training: online, classroom, and corporate.
The first offers on-demand handpicked training courses, which students of all skill levels can take according to their schedules. Classroom training features a robust catalog of topics, ranging from leadership and management to continuous improvement to technical skills. In addition, it includes group exercises, personalized learning, and simulations. And corporate training offers organizations highly customizable and scalable training options. They can opt for training at their or IISE Training Center premises and choose to enroll a team, department, or entire organization.
IISE Training Center instructors comprise accomplished professionals in essential long-established industrial engineering principles and concepts, including Lean and Six Sigma. Lean and Six Sigma refers to a management approach and method that seeks to prevent wasting resources and minimize defects in production processes to boost employee and overall company performance.
Upon completing their preferred training, IISE Training Center students should have gained a deep understanding and practical knowledge regarding diverse strategies to excel in their business or profession. In addition, they earn various credentials, including digital badges and certificates, which they can display on their social media accounts or include in email signatures and impress prospective business partners or employers.
